JULIE PEARL

Julie is a three-time entrepreneur and former California Deputy Attorney General. She began investing in 2002, primarily in the arenas of compliance software, medical devices and real estate — expanding since 2020 into other market segments.

In 1995, she founded what became the largest woman-owned law firm in Northern California, and one of the nation’s top 10 immigration firms. Starting in 1998, she began developing SaaS technology products now used by thousands of US companies to enhance immigration and employment law compliance. Since selling the firm and larger SaaS company in 2020, she has been focused on investments, philanthropy and strategic direction for two private companies and a federal agency.

Her work has been covered in dozens of articles and a couple of books, including The Moral Advantage: Getting Ahead in Business by Doing the Right Thing (Stanford University Project on Good Works). She has won multiple awards in law and business, including “Women of Influence & Power in Law” (Law.com) and “100 Women of Influence” (Silicon Valley Business Journal). Her financial analysis in public policy initiatives has been profiled by CNN, CBS, NY Times and others. She serves on two private boards and the Innovation andTechnology Task Force of the nonprofit AILA.org, and is a member of the C200 organization dedicating to sharing success among corporate women leaders.

Julie received degrees at Stanford University (BA in Economics/International Relations), Harvard University (MPA, Statistics Emphasis) and the University of California at San Francisco (JD).
