KAREN KING

Karen King is a Managing Director of Silver Lake, the global leader in large-scale technology investing [strike: , where she is involved in all aspects of the firm’s business]. Karen serves on the boards of Franklin Resources (aka Franklin Templeton), the global asset management firm, and Relativity, the leading e-Discovery platform. She previously served on the boards of Aras, an enterprise software provider of PLM solutions, and Serena Software, a global provider of solutions for IT management. In 2013, Karen received the Women of Achievement award by Legal Momentum. She is a former Chair of the Board of the American Leadership Forum - Silicon Valley (ALF). ALF is a network of over 600 leaders, from non-profit, government and the private sector, including multiple current and past executives of Fortune 500 companies, who are connecting to serve the common good.

Karen received her A.B. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for Duke.

She is also a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she serves on the Northern California Leadership Council.

In addition, Karen is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Menlo School.

Karen also serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the Berkeley Center for Law and Business. And, she is a Trustee for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation.
